The new Nikon Coolpix P520 is the successor to the Nikon P510 and features an 18.1-megapixel backside-illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, a versatile 3.2-inch 921k dots Vari-Angle LCD monitor, built-in GPS and can record Full HD (1080p) video with stereo sound.
The new Nikon P520 is a versatile bridge camera that is equipped with the most powerful zoom lens in Coolpix history – a 42x optical zoom Nikkor lens with an impressive range of focal length from a wide 24 mm to a super-telephoto 1000 mm (equivalents in 35 mm format). The P520 is equipped with a lens-shift vibration reduction (VR) function that reduces the effects of camera shake.
